Frequently asked questions

How is RD interest calculated?+

Each monthly instalment earns interest from the day it is deposited, compounded quarterly at (1 + rate/4)^(1/3) − 1 per month. The maturity value is the sum of every instalment plus its own interest.

Is an RD better than a SIP?+

An RD gives a guaranteed, insured return, so it suits money you cannot afford to lose. A SIP is market-linked and has historically returned more over long horizons, but with volatility.
